Bank of Scotland Plc v Hazel & Another [2016] All ER (D) 212 (Oct)

23/01/2019

Stefan Ramel appeared on behalf of the Bank of Scotland on the trial of its claim, and the counterclaim of Mr & Mrs Hazel, arising out various loans made by the bank. Mr & Mrs Hazel raised numerous issues in their statements of case, including an assertion of undue influence by Mrs Hazel and the extent to which the bank had interfered in an LPA receivership rendering itself liable for the acts of the receivers. The bank succeeded on its claims, and HHJ Cotter QC also dismissed Mr & Mrs Hazel’s counterclaims.
