The talk will focus on individual’s rights under the ECHR in or arising out of Court of Protection proceedings:

  • When damages might be awarded in claims under the HRA 1998 in the Court of Protection;
  • Quantification of Article 5 damages – basic principles and case law update;
  • Funding and costs considerations for claims under the HRA 1998.

This seminar will be aimed at paralegals, legal executives and solicitors with an interest or expertise in the Court of Protection, although everyone is welcome along for a cup of tea/coffee and bite to eat. If you know of a colleague who may be interested in attending, please feel free to forward this invitation on to them.
