Matthew is a specialist property & estates barrister who practises exclusively in the areas of real property, estates, landlord and tenant and trusts.

He is also instructed by banks and other lenders to advise and appear in claims relating to mortgages and charges.
Matthew's landlord and tenant work covers the full range of commercial tenancies, residential tenancies (including leasehold enfranchisement) and business tenancies. He is also available to receive agricultural work.
Matthew has some experience in disability discrimination and the Equality Act 2010 in so far as they relate to landlord and tenant matters.
Matthew's trusts practice encompasses those areas covered by the team, those being: family trusts, charitable trusts, commercial trusts and other trusts, such as protective and Quistclose trusts.
Matthew is also experienced in a range of wills and estates matters, including contentious probate and the Inheritance (Provision for Family and Dependants) Act 1975. He is also keen to receive instructions in relation to the Court of Protection.
