Nicholas Nicholas

Nicholas joined the Crime Team in 2019, following pupillage under the supervision of Mary Cowe. He has a busy junior Crown Court practice and prosecutes and defends in a range of cases.


Nicholas welcomes instructions in all areas of criminal law, including violence, public disorder, drugs, fraud, burglary, robbery, sexual offences and road traffic offences. He is regularly instructed to represent vulnerable defendants and in other cases involving vulnerable witnesses, and has prosecuted and defended in cases involving expert evidence.

Nicholas is a CPS Grade 2 Panel Advocate. He was instructed as disclosure junior in a multi-handed murder, during which he advised on disclosure in the context of sensitive intelligence, PII and Section 73 SOCPA.

Before joining Guildhall Chambers, Nicholas’ work experience included time in investment and central banking, as well as with a high street legal aid firm. He understands the importance of teamwork between solicitors and counsel and seeks to provide early and practical advice.

Regulatory & Disciplinary

Nicholas is developing a practice in regulatory matters. He has previously been instructed by the Insolvency Service and as counsel to an Inquest.
