Manon is a fluent Welsh speaker, and is happy to accept instructions in Welsh.
Manon has a busy Personal Injury practice and regularly appears for both Claimants and Defendants in a range of matters such as Road Traffic Accidents, Occupiers and Employers’ Liability and Highways Act claims. Manon is routinely instructed on Fast Track trials, Stage 3 hearings, Credit Hire, Infant Settlement approvals and Applications.
Manon drafts pleadings, position statements, advices on liability and quantum as well as Schedules and Counter Schedules of Loss. Manon has a particular interest in Costs, having assisted in advising on the validity of Part 36 Offers, fixed costs recovery, QOCS and set off.
Prior to commencing pupillage, Manon worked as a case holder in the Government Legal Department, Ministry of Defence. Manon also worked as a paralegal to a QC specialising in catastrophic Personal Injury and Costs.
Manon is developing a wide Clinical Negligence paperwork practice. Manon has been instructed on a range of cases including delayed diagnosis of post-traumatic stress disorder, negligently performed surgeries and neuropsychiatric injury arising from chemoprophylaxis prescriptions.
During her pupillage, Manon assisted in advising on a range of inquest matters, including deaths by unlawful killing and natural causes contributed to by neglect. Manon is willing to represent parties at inquests under a conditional fee agreement (“CFA”) in appropriate cases.
