Expertise

Inquests

Guildhall Chambers is well-respected for its Inquests expertise and skill, acting for families, healthcare professionals, NHS Trusts, regulatory bodies (such as the GMC, RCVS and HSE) and commercial organisations.

Members are also instructed to represent the interests of witnesses giving evidence at Inquests, as well as the interested parties.

Working across our highly-ranked Clinical Negligence, Personal Injury and Regulatory & Discipline teams, barristers at Guildhall Chambers are particularly relied on by the Treasury Solicitor in Inquests concerning issues from industrial disease and product liability in a health context to death in custody.

Often acting when deaths occur in clinical settings, members of Guildhall Chambers are experts in the application of Article 2 and arguments about human rights, disclosure and evidence. Our Inquest barristers are also experienced in judicially reviewing coroners’ decisions.
