Practical Advocacy in the Crown Court has been published today!

Now available to buy online and available in bookshops by the 9th of October.

We are very proud that our foreword writer, Mrs Justice May DBE, has described this book as “a highly useful, practical guide… it appreciates the value to an advocate of observing and learning about our fellow human beings, in all their fascinating diversity.”

The book was written by members of Guildhall Chambers’ Crime Team. It draws on the expertise accumulated from the whole team,  from those who have most recently dealt with procedural wrinkles in Crown Court appeals, to our most senior members, distilling their wisdom on how to handle witnesses, make legal submissions effectively, and persuade judges and juries alike. We have written a book which we hope will assist students, junior barristers and solicitor advocates as well as those more seasoned advocates in the Crown Court.
