They will consider:

  • Uses of viability assessments in planning applications
  • Protecting the confidentiality of viability assessments
  • Situations in which opponents of the proposed development may be given access to viability information – including on appeal, in judicial review and under the Environmental Information Regulations

The following recent cases will be covered (among others):

  • R (Perry) v Hackney [2014] EWHC 1721 (Patterson J: disclosure), [2014] EWCA Civ 1372 (CA: disclosure), [2014] EWHC 3499
  • Turner v SSCLG [2015] EWHC 375

Cancellation
Provided notice is received at least 48 hours, before the seminar, any seminar fee (where appropriate) will be refunded less a £20 (+VAT) administration charge.

CPD Accreditation
Under the Law Society’s CPD scheme and the Bar Council’s New and Established Practitioners’ Programme the conference is accredited with 1 CPD point (Law Society reference BAI/GUCH). The seminar will also contribute to CPD requirements under the terms of the ICAEW’s CPD policy.
