Three of our barristers at Guildhall Chambers, Richard Smith QC, Christopher Quinlan QC and Sam Jones are excited to be involved in the Rugby World Cup 2015, on home soil.
Richard Smith QC, head of the Guildhall Chambers Sports Legal Team, will continue to combine his criminal practise with his role as Counsel to the England Team, a post he has held since 2003, as part of the senior management team, he is currently at their training camp in Surrey, working on the final preparations before their first match against Fiji on Friday.
Christopher Quinlan QC will be involved in his third World Cup as a Judicial Officer appointed by World Rugby to adjudicate at Disciplinary Hearings. Christopher has travelled the world as a Judicial Officer, having previously been appointed to adjudicate on matters in New Zealand, Australia, South Africa, Argentina and elsewhere.
Sam Jones (who will be cheering on Gatland’s men) has previously worked with Samoa and is now further retained to represent Japan at the forthcoming competition.
