Recent developments in Freedom of Information and Data Protection

This seminar will focus on some of the most recent developments in the field of information law, including the new EU General Data Protection Regulation, recent case law on the Freedom of Information Act 2000, and the treatment of confidential information under FOIA and the Environmental Information Regulations 2004.

The programme will include presentations from three members of the Admin & Public Law team at Guildhall Chambers, Rhys Hadden, Louise Jones and Jorren Knibbe.

  • The new data protection landscape under the EU General Data Protection Regulation – Rhys Hadden
  • Lessons learned on FOIA from case law and litigation – Louise Jones
  • Confidential information and the freedom of information legislation – Jorren Knibbe

The seminar will start at 4:30pm for 1.5 hours, followed by drinks and canapes.
