The Employment and Discrimination Team is delighted to announce that Anna Williams has accepted an offer of tenancy at Guildhall Chambers, following successful completion of her specialist pupillage.
Anna joins with impeccable academic credentials, having completed a B.A. (First Class) in Law with German Law at Merton College, Oxford and the University of Konstanz. She received an Exhibition and Postmastership and was joint recipient of the Eldon Scholarship for 2019-2020 (previous recipients having included Lords Denning, Wilberforce and Bingham, and two current Justices of the Supreme Court). She further represented the University of Oxford at the Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition.
She has received a thorough grounding in all aspects of practice in the fields of employment and discrimination law, including related civil proceedings, under the supervision of Douglas Leach. She is already building a busy practice and has been commended on the thoroughness of her work and the maturity of her advocacy.
Anna has also co-authored a chapter with Professor Mindy Chen-Wishart for Misleading Silence (edited by Elise Bant and Jeannie Paterson), which was published earlier this week. The collection explores the topic of misleading silence in private law theory and has been described as a ‘landmark publication in private law’.
If you would like to discuss instructing Anna, or any of our other Employment & Discrimination practitioners, please don’t hesitate to contact our clerks on 0117 930 900.
