On 1 April 2021, the Court of Appeal handed down judgment in Adams v Options UK Personal Pensions LLP (formerly Carey Pensions UK LLP) [2021] EWCA Civ 474, allowing the appeal in part.
The case is a test case and the first appellate authority to consider the duties and liabilities of SIPP providers, and will have implications for the many other similar cases awaiting the outcome of this case and also more generally on future financial services cases owing to the Court’s consideration of ‘advising’ and ‘arranging’ and the interplay between sections 26-28 of FSMA.
The webinar will consider the case and its wider implications.
John Virgo was lead counsel for the ultimately successful claimant at first instance and Jay Jagasia was junior counsel for the claimant on appeal.
We will send you an acknowledgement of your registration, and you will receive joining instructions prior to the webinar.
