We’re pleased to announce that Second Six Pupils, Saunak Irani-Nayar & Saisha Bacon are now available to take instructions.
Saunak commenced his pupillage in October 2021 in the Employment and Discrimination team and is supervised by Allan Roberts.
Prior to starting pupillage, Saunak worked for a barrister specialising in commercial and employment litigation where he would draft pleadings, skeleton arguments and conduct research tasks in a range of cases involving: mortgage fraud, professional negligence and unfair dismissal. He was also appointed a Trade Union representative for The Cleaners and Allied Independent Workers Union (CAIWU) representing claimants in company hearings and the Employment Tribunal in unfair dismissal, discrimination, harassment and health & safety cases.
Saisha commenced her pupillage in October 2021 in the Commercial and Insolvency teams. She is currently supervised by Jay Jagasia.
During her BPTC, Saisha was awarded the Middle Temple Overseas Hong Kong Scholarship granting her three weeks of international commercial experience. This entailed observing a two week hearing before the Market Misconduct Tribunal sitting behind lead counsel for the Securities and Futures Commission. She then spent a week as an intern at the Hong Kong International Arbitration Centre. Saisha then spent some more time in Hong Kong undertaking a three week internship at Withersworldwide in the Dispute Resolution Commercial team. Prior to commencing pupillage, Saisha worked as a commercial paralegal at Withersworldwide in London in the Intellectual Property and Technology team. She was involved in a number of commercial contract disputes during this role.
If you’d like to instruct either Saunak or Saisha, please contact the Civil Clerks by email or by phone on 0117 930 9000.
