Saunak is a Pupil Barrister and commenced his pupillage in October 2021 in the Employment and Discrimination team. He is supervised by Nicholas Smith.
Before starting pupillage, Saunak worked for a barrister specialising in commercial and employment litigation where he would draft pleadings, skeleton arguments and conduct research tasks in a range of cases involving: mortgage fraud, professional negligence and unfair dismissal. He was also appointed a Trade Union representative for The Cleaners and Allied Independent Workers Union (CAIWU) representing claimants in company hearings and the Employment Tribunal in unfair dismissal, discrimination, harassment and health & safety cases.
During their second six our Pupils are regularly attending hearings on matters across the practice areas undertaken at Guildhall Chambers which include insolvency, commercial, property and personal injury. This includes interim applications, directions appointments, and small claims hearings, including road traffic and credit hire related matters.
